The pepperpot is the national dish of Guyana. It is a stewed meat dish flavoured with Cassareep (a sauce made from the cassava root), often served during Christmas and special occasions.
This design features multiple spaces, including a museum showcasing a collection of traditional indigenous cooking utensils from Guyana; a kitchen where visitors can actively engage and learn the cooking process; and a greenhouse dedicated to growing some of the ingredients needed. The central eating space allows users to enjoy pepperpot together.
The project provides a platform for sharing and preserving Guyanese heritage, enabling the community to deepen their understanding and appreciation for their own culture.
