The Intertwined is a culturally infused community centre, endeavouring to chart a fresh trajectory in addressing the refugee crisis in Berlin. It seeks to foster the social and economic integration of isolated refugees into the local community.
Situated in the heart of Berlin, where the erstwhile Prinz Albert Palais stands as a painful testament to wartime atrocities, the project confronts this traumatic history by establishing a multi-cultural haven that promotes healing and reconciliation of diverse ethnicities.
Consequently, the project serves as an exultant celebration of cultural differences, providing a fertile ground for the cultivation of new and optimistic memories. It serves as a unifying space where different cultures can converge, forge connections, and mutually enrich one another through shared experiences and learning opportunities.
The Intertwined in central southwest Berlin is a cultural hub supporting refugee integration. It includes a wood and ceramics workshop, gallery, and media library, each showcasing diverse occupants and activities on-site.
