Witches of Hastings

Project details

Student Sally Kemp
Programme
Unit UG5
Year 3

Crystal healing has gained popularity, particularly in practices such as witchcraft, which utilise crystals for their energy-enhancing properties. While scientific evidence is limited, many people report positive effects on their well-being. This dissertation focuses on quartz crystals, known for their spiritual cleansing and piezoelectric properties. Quartz generates electrical charges when subjected to pressure, making it valuable in spiritual healing and energy production. The building project incorporates the growth of crystals in a saltwater foundation, hypothesising that the dissolved ions in saltwater enhance energy output and increase the voltage in piezoelectric crystals. The research aims to provide evidence supporting the use of salt water to amplify crystal energy and explores its application in the building program.
