This project proposes an opportunity to utilize AI to provide an interactive relationship for the users, engaging the visitors to participate in the performance that brings history to life in an immersive theatre. By examining 3D models and 2D patterns, I exemplified how the collaborative communication and decision-making between artificial intelligence, DALL.E-2, and myself as a designer can find the common platform of a building. From the image input I provide, DALL.E-2 breaks down the original images and reimagines the space of the site context. To reinterpret DALL.E-2’s feedback, I evaluated and reconstructed the AI-generated image using a combination of Rhino modelling and physical modelling, giving the space structure and characteristics for further refinement and elaboration. This iterative process is repeated multiple times to demonstrate how the original experience of visiting the space of the historical theatrical context in Florence can be reexplored using Artificial intelligence.
A film showing the experience of a visitor going through and interacting with the installation.
A stop frame animation showing the transformation from Dalle generated image to 3D model.
A film exploring the daily experience of visitors participating in the performance in the immersive theatre.
