The Caribbean has a rich tradition of oral storytelling that has its origins in West Africa. The museum enables the audience to delve into folktales and history via real-life sensory experiences that put the visitor in the place of the main character.
The main exhibition space hosts a series of rotating folktales from Africa and the Caribbean. At the centre of the museum is the auditory atrium for the use of guest speakers and local organisations. The use of rammed earth and timber construction is also firmly rooted in the vernacular architecture of the Caribbean and West Africa.
