This project seeks to utilise a currently overgrown green space by a long road of residential housing, just off the main highway Western Avenue in North Acton, which is now participating in a renovation scheme for West London. The proposed programme consists of a stone pub for residents, businesses and students in the area, as it currently lacks both social activity and social spaces. The building’s façade will be constructed from vast stone slabs, with its construction utilising locally sourced and recycled materials from nearby construction projects. The texturally expressive façade is key to the design, leaving a traditional British pub with a stone age twist.
