Tourism is Hastings’ main industry, yet it is seasonal. As such, the objective of this project is to mitigate the seasonal fluctuations in tourism and create a shared space for tourists and residents. In addition to providing Olympic standard skiing services and post-competition recovery for athletes during the competition, the Millennium Ski Jump will also provide a shared recreational destination for both locals and visitors, including a restaurant, bar, spa and sauna. During the long-term process, contributed to by both tourists and residents, a ‘together’ winter destination will appear in 2066.
