The Citadel of Venice addresses the absence of a dedicated 'national' pavilion for refugees and stateless individuals at the Venice Biennale. It provides a platform for the production, exhibition, and trade of art that celebrates the diverse cultures of irregular migrants. The proposal is part of a comprehensive redevelopment scheme for the Arsenale Nord area, considering challenges such as inadequate transport links and limited public engagement.

To address these issues, a pedestrian bridge is proposed to connect the main Biennale site to the chosen location, facilitating accessibility and increasing foot traffic. Additionally, the design features a lightweight kit of parts system for the construction of a yearly temporary pavilion within the workshop's courtyard, enabling rapid assembly and disassembly using pre-designed construction elements.

Simultaneously, a digital interface enables co-embodiment, allowing users to explore a virtual pavilion with randomly paired companions. This immersive experience prompts reflection on identity and the role of the body in shaping our experiences while fostering meaningful connections among people from different parts of the world.
