The project aims to revive the Royal Docks, once the vital heart of London for trade and industries, but this time not as a centre of growth and production of the 'new', but as a centre for waste regeneration. The facility explores the potential of what has been considered waste and transforms the waste collected from the site into bricks for use in the construction industry. The soil on site undergoes a series of stages, including de-paving, healing, and rotational grazing over the years, while the waste materials produced during these stages (such as de-paved concrete, construction and demolition waste, and cow manure) are transformed into bricks in the brick production workshop. Over time, multiple recipes for waste bricks are developed, contributing to a more sustainable construction industry, and the soil of the Royal Docks transforms from concrete landscapes into healthier, greener surroundings.
